Lake Sherwood

Lake Sherwood is an unincorporated community in Ventura County, located in the foothills of the Santa Monica Mountains.

The area is served by the academically-acclaimed Conejo Unified School District of Ventura County which has top rated Westlake Elementary, Colina Middle School and Westlake High School. This includes 29 schools, 16 of which have been named Distinguished California Schools

The Lake Sherwood Dam, also known as "The Potrero Dam", is a 250 foot long concrete dam which remains the oldest standing dam in California. Lake Sherwood is about 165 acres and was the first man-made lake of its size.

Sherwood is only 12 miles from the Pacific Ocean and 38 miles from downtown Los Angeles. Here you will find about 75 miles of trails for hiking, biking and equestrian activities. Lake Sherwood is only minutes away from major shopping plazas with upscale shops and major department stores.

Sherwood is serviced by two major airports - Los Angeles International (LAX) and Hollywood/Burbank (BUR), as well as Oxnard and Camarillo airports service private and corporate airplanes.
