Westlake Village

Westlake Village was incorporated in 1981. The original community was divided by the Los Angeles and Ventura county boundary, known as Westlake.

The Santa Monica Mountains, National Recreational area is adjacent to Westlake Village. Here you will find many nature trails for hiking, horseback riding and camping. There is 11 public golf courses, many tennis courts and swimming pools that are open to the public. Thousand Oaks Mall is located only 5.5 miles from Westlake Village.

There are 9 K-12 schools in Westlake Village, including 4 public schools and 5 private schools. There are 5 elementary schools, 3 middle schools, 2 high schools and 2 preschools. Westlake Village public schools belong to two districts, Conejo Valley Unified School District and Las Virgenes Unified School District.

Three commercial airports are located within a 45 mile radius; Los Angeles International (LAX), Burbank-Glendale-Pasedena Airport (known as Bob Hope Airport) and Oxnard Airport.
